You can synchronize contacts, events, tasks, and notes "over the air" with Funambol Blackberry Plugin. All you need to do is download the Plugin, configure it, and synchronize your Blackberry and your online office. It's that simple. The Plugin is "Powered by Funambol" and made available under an AGPLv3 open source license.
The Plugin works for all Blackberry devices with Operating System 4.2 or higher.
Step 1
Use the browser on your device and go to http://my.funambol.com/bb/plugin.jad and dowload Funambol Blackberry Plugin.Step 2
Configure Funambol Blackberry Plugin with the following settings:- Server Location: http://syncfx.com/ds
- Username: UserID@AccountID. The User ID is what you use to login to your online office. The Account ID is a seven-digit number for your company or organization. An example is jsmith@9999999.
- Password: This is the password that you use to login to your online office.
- Check Sync Contacts with Remote Name: "contacts" to sync your contacts
- Check Sync Calendar with Remote Name: "events" to sync your calendar
- Check Sync Tasks with Remote Name: "tasks" to sync your tasks
- Check Sync Notes with Remote Name: "notes" to sync your notes
You can leave information for Gateway APN and Gateway IP blank. The Gateway Port depends on your carrier. Carrier-specific APN/TCP settings can be found at http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/Carrier_specific_APN/TCP_settings
Step 3
Synchronize. The first synchronization of your contacts and events may take a few minutes. Please be patient and do not interrupt the process by pressing the End button. You can specify the Sync Direction (Two-Way recommended) and Enable Scheduled Sync at time intervals that you select.Note: If the wireless data connection on your Blackberry is lost, just sync again. On occasion you may have to reboot your device.
